For the first time ever, three Brisbane landmarks: Story Bridge, Victoria Bridge, and Brisbane City Hall, will be lit up in red and white to support Indonesia’s 75th Independence Day which falls on 17th August 2020.

​Despite not being able to get together on the day of Indonesia’s Independence Day following the world’s Covid-19 safe protocols, this year the Indonesian community in Brisbane could still channel the spirit of their patriotism through virtual flag ceremony and ‘Light Up Brisbane’ social media photo competition.
